  1. Support for Fidelity Accounts

In the past, Fidelity had strict restrictions on data sharing. Recently it seems that they have opened up on this. Many services now allow connectivity of investment and cash management accounts through Plaid, but that doesn't seem to be an option with Sequence. It would be nice to have live balances and other support for investment and cash management accounts in sequence.

  2. Show balance in pods, and income sources, after each transaction

Next to each line item transaction, show the resulting total balance in the income source, or pod.

  3. Transfer Rules Based on Other Accounts

I would like to suggest a new feature that allows users to set up transfer rules between accounts based on the balance of another account. For example, a rule could be created to transfer a specific percentage of the balance from one account to another. Example: "On the 1st of every month, transfer 1% of the balance of Account X from Account Y to Account Z." This feature would give users more flexibility to automate transfers that are responsive to changes in the balance of other accounts, allowing for better financial management across multiple accounts.

  4. Enhance Top-Up Transfers with a Minimum Balance Limit

Right now, Sequence lets you create a rule that transfers an amount from Account A to "top up" Account B until it reaches a target balance. However, this rule does not consider the balance remaining in Account A. I suggest adding a "Limit" option that allows users to set a minimum balance—let's call it Balance Z—for Account A. With this option, the transfer rule would work like this: Funds transfer from Account A to top up Account B as long as Account A’s balance stays above the set minimum (Balance Z). For example, if you set Balance Z to $100, the system will stop transferring funds once Account A drops to $100, ensuring that you always have a safe amount left in Account A. This enhancement would make the feature more flexible and secure by allowing users to optimize their transfers without risking an overdrawn Account A.

  5. Higher Description field character limit for transfers

The description field the transfer user interface does not allow enough characters in it to really describe the reason for the transfer. This makes it a little harder to look back in time and see what happened. If you have difficult to remember why I transfer happened.

  6. make pending transfers/deposits visible in the money map

I made a one time transfer from an external account to my income source account, and it's pending successful. But there's no indicator in the grid of this pending transfer. It would be nice to have an indicator to show this, so I didn't have to click inside the box. Something like a green marching ants arrow pointing from the external account to the income source account would be really cool, showing that money is trying to be moved and is waiting. :) Similarly, an indicator showing pending check deposits on an account would be useful too: right now in the money map you can't see there are pending deposits coming in to an account. Combining these two ideas, maybe a new "future balance" amount shows in the pod under the current balance amount, so you can see both combined at once.

  7. Increased check deposit limits

For my particular business, I can receive a check >$10,000, which is the mobile deposit limit for Sequence. Since there are no physical branch options, there is no way to deposit a larger check. Sequence needs a process to request a higher limit. For example Relay bank allows mobile check deposits up to $20k by default, and has a "request limit increase" button directly on their website so it's easy to request more. https://support.relayfi.com/hc/en-us/articles/22079535978388-Requesting-a-transaction-limit-increase For this reason I am currently maintaining an account with Relay so I have some way to deposit larger checks, and then I have to move the money into Sequence. Not ideal. So please enhance Sequence to allow a mobile deposit limit increase request. Thanks!

  10. Add "Yearly", "Quarterly" and "Semi-Yearly" to Trigger schedule options on specific day of year

I leverage multiple "Sinking Funds" where I contribute per-paycheck into high-yield savings accounts and transfer out to pay for annual renewals of subscriptions, holidays, birthdays and such. I would like to start first by auto-paying annual subscriptions. Ideally, I would like to pick "Annually on April 7th" for example to transfer from a Sinking Fund to a Credit Card/Liability account.

  12. Schedule a one-time transfer for a specific date and time.

This is a fairly common feature I've seen with banks. The feature will let the user define an amount and date for a one-time transfer days or months in advance. For additional functionality, could be based on a conditional, automatically check if funds are available, or pull from a backup account if funds are low.

  13. Top Up to [Target Balance]

Current State Target Balance is primarily a visual feature today. While it helps users see an intended balance, it doesn’t drive functionality. This limits its practical value. Proposed Enhancement Enable rules to: Top Up [PodName] to [PodName’s Target Balance] Value to the User This makes each Pod the source of truth for its role in a user’s money flow, and self-documenting at the same time. For example, I use Pods for recurring bills. Sometimes the bill changes, or I adjust how much I want to keep in that Pod. Right now, I include the monthly amount in the Pod’s title for quick reference, but I still have to open the rule and update its hard-coded value whenever something changes. If rules could reference the Pod’s Target Balance directly, the Pod definition would stay clean, accurate, and consistent—without manual upkeep. Extra Mile Enhancement Add an option to: Limit transfer to % of [Target Balance] Why This Matters Many recurring bills are split across two paychecks per month. Being able to top up to, say, 50% of Target Balance per paycheck is a natural use case. This approach would also support long-term savings goals where the Target Balance may change over time. By using percentages, users could spread contributions evenly over a time horizon without needing to re-tune rules.

  14. Debit Card Customization

Would love to have debit card customization. Custom text, images, colors, etc. would all be a helpful and fun way to manage multiple debit cards connected to pods. Perhaps even premium options like metal cards.

  15. Allow selection of Notification Delivery Channels At The Rule Level

As a Sequence User, I would like to be notified about some Rules but not all, and some statuses and not all. For example, I want to be notified that my W2 pay was transferred from my Income Source to my Bill Pay Pod, but I don't want to be notified that my Bill Pay Pod transferred successfully to my Phone Bill Pod. Within a Rule's settings page, I would like to select which Notification channels I want to be notified on for this Rule (Email, In-App, Webhook, Slack, Discord). Also I want to select which Notification categories/statuses I want to be notified of (Success, Failure, Pending). In the above example of my W2 pay, W2 pay transferred to Bill Pay: Email (Success & Failed), Webhook (Success & Failed), Slack (Success & Failed)Bill Pay transferred to Phone Bill Pod: Email (Failed Only), Slack (Failed Only) Status I see being important to notify on: SuccessfulPending/Received/Acknowledged (it's in process)Failed (something happened) Notification Channels I see being important to notify on: EmailIn-App (webapp or mobile app)App Push NotificationsWebhook (link to feature request)Slack (link to feature request)Discord (link to feature request)
