Support Zelle transfers as Income
Especially useful when you sell a lot of online products and people pay via zelle, it can go directly into as in income instead of trying to add it to a pod/debit card

Mail Physical Check as External Destination
It would be extremely beneificial to be able to have the option in an External Destination to mail a physical check rather than ACH. I would like to be able to specify the Payee, mailing address, and account number (optional) and a memo (optional). The check amount would be equal to the transfer rule. You can also implement this into Liabilities for those that don't accept ACH transfers. Not all Payees can accept ACH transfers, and this would be an excellent catch all for liabilities/external destinations. Obviously nothing beats free, but I would be willing to pay a small amount for each check that was mailed as well.

Skip Rule
It would be nice to have a quick way to "skip" the next occurrence of a rule running, rather than disabling the rule and remembering to re-enable it afterwards. You could also possibly add how many occurrences to skip defaulting to 1.

Check deposit history with check images
I can make a mobile check deposit directly into an income pod. However there is no good way to see it after the fact. If I scroll through transaction history and find it, there are no details or check image. The scenario I have is I deposit a check, and then my bookkeeper logs in and needs to review and update my books, but she can't see the check image to know what the deposit was for, who it was from etc. This is a blocker for her, and now she has to email me to ask me to look up in my pile of mobile-deposit checks to find it and send her the details. Most online mobile deposit systems let you see the check image in the history, including the bank I'm coming from. So Sequence needs to add this feature. Thanks!

Add a yearly option in the date selector for automation
Some bills are only due once a year, for example, my credit card yearly renewal fees. I set up a pod to hold these fees throughout the year and would love to find a way to schedule it to automatically pay when the fee gets charged on my account. Can you add a yearly option to the drop-down selector for automations?

Give the option to hide balance (For ourself and to beneficiaries)
Disclaimer: This is not a deal breaker for me personally but it could be for others who are in the "Beneficiary Example" i've stated below. Couple of real life examples: (Beneficiary example): Husbands having their wife (Or another example would be a Mom/Dad has their teenager kids) as their beneficiary in his sequence but doesn't necessarily want them to see his account balance details. He should have the option to hide his balance details to the beneficiary while still being able to automate his finances to her using Sequence. (Solo example): I have a habit to where I spend my savings because I'm able to see the balance and it's tempting. I have the option to toggle off seeing the balance so that I'm not tempted to spend it.

Colorful Edges 🌈
Cave Arnold -- 05/09/2024 Enhancement Request : Please consider adding a color wheel picker to each sub rule to set the color of the edge created by the rule. This request is lower priority than my others as it is aesthetically pleasing and fun to have alternatives to all grey edges. It also helps with tracing flows if there is a method to the rainbow of madness. You may also add the ability to choose edge thickness and styles for completeness. [Update 5/13/2024] You may want to consider for example, a different line weight and style for internal (Free) versus external (Paid) transfers! That would be a very helpful visual queue. I included crude mock ups by altering screenshots in paint. (See GitHub link) GitHub link: https://github.com/CaveArnold/Sequence/issues/3#issue-2288646077

Debit Card Customization
Would love to have debit card customization. Custom text, images, colors, etc. would all be a helpful and fun way to manage multiple debit cards connected to pods. Perhaps even premium options like metal cards.

AI Spending Tracker
Creating an AI bot that watches for overspending or tracks spending habits could be a very helpful tool to maintain financial health. Here’s a general outline of how you can develop such a bot: Objective The bot's goal is to track your expenses and alert you if you are approaching or exceeding your budget. Data Inputs Bank Transactions: The bot can be linked to your bank accounts or payment apps (like PayPal or Venmo) to track every transaction. Monthly Budget: Set a monthly budget for different categories (e.g., groceries, entertainment, bills). Savings Goals: You can define specific savings goals (e.g., saving for a trip, buying a new car). Key Features Expense Tracking: The bot should categorize expenses (e.g., food, entertainment, bills) automatically using machine learning to help you identify where you're spending the most. Alerts & Notifications: Once you approach your spending limit in any category, the bot can send you a notification or message. It can also warn you when you're on track to overspend for the month. Trends Analysis: The bot can give you insights into spending trends, helping you recognize where you might be overspending over time. Custom Alerts: Set custom thresholds for spending on specific categories. For example, if you spend more than $100 on dining out in a week, it will alert you. Recommendations: The bot could suggest ways to cut back or alternative options (e.g., cheaper dining choices or discount shopping). Implementation Process API Integrations: Utilize APIs to access bank account or credit card information, and possibly financial management tools like Mint or YNAB (You Need a Budget). AI for Categorization: Use machine learning algorithms for categorizing transactions and identifying spending patterns. For example, a neural network could be trained on labeled transaction data to predict what category an expense falls into. Dashboard: Create a dashboard where users can view their spending summary, set budgets, and track progress toward savings goals. This could be a web or mobile app. Natural Language Processing (NLP): If you want to make it conversational, you can add an AI assistant that allows users to ask questions about their spending in natural language (e.g., "How much have I spent on groceries this month?"). Technology Stack Backend: Python with libraries like Flask or Django for building the web application. Machine Learning: TensorFlow or PyTorch for creating models to predict and categorize expenses. Frontend: React or Vue.js for building the user interface. Databases: Use a relational database like PostgreSQL or MySQL to store transaction data. APIs: Utilize Plaid, Yodlee, or open banking APIs to retrieve transaction data from users’ financial accounts. Cloud: AWS or Google Cloud for hosting the application and ensuring secure data storage. Example Bot Workflow Step 1: User connects their bank account to the bot via API. Step 2: The bot automatically imports recent transactions and categorizes them. Step 3: The user sets a monthly budget for each category (groceries, entertainment, etc.). Step 4: The bot continually tracks expenses and compares them to the set budget. Step 5: If a user approaches or exceeds the set budget in any category, the bot sends a notification (text, email, or app push). Step 6: The bot offers suggestions to help reduce spending, like finding deals or offering cheaper alternatives. Privacy Considerations Ensure secure data encryption for bank account information. Follow best practices for storing sensitive financial data. Make it transparent about how user data is being used and give users control over their information. Would you like to explore how to build this more specifically or dive deeper into any of these steps?

Improve pods for budgets
A few ideas for pods to become a powerful budgeting tool baked into the system. This is not small as a whole, but could be broken down into individual parts for incremental delivery. First, allow us to specify pod types. Is it Savings, Bills, or General? This way we can categorize and group things better. Particularly with different colors/iconography. Second, for pods allow a "Due Date". (If types are added, savings could be a "Target Date" to be fully funded). This would allow the ability to query the information to see how close goals are to when the money is needed. This would also need a "recurrence" interval. Such as Monthly, Annually, Bi-monthly, Semi-monthly, Quarterly, etc. Third, allow a "Goal" field. This is the target amount needed by the provided due date. Fourth, (way more pipe dream), this would enable us to then do an Avalanche/Snowball scenario against a group of pods. Take this example set of pods: Apple One - $37 - 15th of every monthAppleCare iPhone - $12 - 8th of every monthAppleCare Macbook - $110 - August 12th AnnuallySearch Service - $80 - October 10th AnnuallyDomain Names - $80 - No specific recurrence pattern, just a pool of money to keep topped off for when they renew If we had this extra information in the system, we could say "With every transfer take $200 and Snowball the group based on due dates." The final piece to all this is what happens if there is excess? It would be nifty to introduce a way to say "Leftover funds after the algorithm goes into {action}." Action could be going into a specified account. Being put back into the main funds. etc. Once all the data is baked in too. I could easily see the ability to draw up a calendar based on due dates and expected income dates. Along with the ability to show a report page that lists all the pods marked as bills and their due dates/balances/targets in a table. This absolutely would push Sequence into the "baked-in budgeting" space. But the power and capability are absolutely possible and would compete with other companies such as Qube Money.
